The first official trailer of Tekken 8 has been unveiled, it will be released on PC and next gen consoles

This title comes five years after the last chapter of the saga. The release date has not yet been announced.

During the State of Play organized by Sony was presented the first official trailer of Tekken 8. According to the statements of the manager of Bandai Namco Katsuhiro Harada the images projected are taken directly from the gameplay of the story mode, therefore it is not a sequence designed only for advertising. From what Harada writes on PlayStation Blog, the goal of the developers is to keep this graphics quality throughout the game. There isn’t one yet exit date: at the moment it is known only that the new chapter will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S.

The Tekken trailer opened the State of Play but it wasn’t the only presentation of the event. The announcements dedicated to second generation viewers of PlayStation. Here the titles will be two: Star Wars Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition and Like a Dragon: Ishin. Sony has also unveiled something more than Hogwarts Legacythe video game set in the world of Harry Potter expected for February 2023. An adventure was presented at the event that will be available exclusively for those who buy the game on PlayStation 5. The last space of the program was dedicated to God of War Ragnarok, the new chapter of the saga. Kratos is also seen fighting Thor in this trailer.

Tekken has accompanied all generations of PlayStation. It debuted with the first PlayStation produced by Sony, in 1995, as one of the first fighting games imported into consoles to be attached to home televisions directly from arcade cabinets. Tekken 2 arrived only one year after the first episode and then all the other episodes were published, updated from time to time with the technology available on the market. PS5 was also waiting to be baptized with a new chapter in the saga. This time the fans had to wait a long time from the last episode: Tekken 7 was released in 2017.
