The update includes several bug fixes related to the displays, camera, gallery app, and more. For instance, the Galaxy Z Flip 3, fixes issues with the Cover Screen that kept widgets from running or text overlapped. Without the Galaxy Fold 3’s ability to keep apps running on the external display, users would experience problems when returning their phone to their pocket or bag since most apps require fullscreen capability.
For both devices, OTA updates delivered on June 5 include a fix to the Gallery app’s inability to move photos between folders and poor Wi-Fi performance. Other bug fixes include an improved 120Hz refresh rate and lock screen performance, fixed camera functionality, and stability improvements.
However, some problems are still present in the update like one related to adding new camera modes and other issues. Samsung says to update your Health app if you’re experiencing those problems.
The update should be rolling out now to the best foldable phones in the USA, India, and South Korea as well as the November security patch.
This will likely be one of the final beta releases for the Galaxy foldable. They are expected to start receiving stable Android 12 as soon as December followed by other Galaxy devices throughout 2022.
