Hezbollah already spent $10 million, Nasrallah says

According to a Reuters story, Hezbollah has spent more than $10 million on subsidized fuel for people in Lebanon. This is a significant change from past policies.

In a televised address, Nasrallah said his organization had given away $2.6 million worth of gasoline in the past year to Lebanese NGOs, municipalities, hospitals, and other organizations. The total amount of money saved for these different groups was more than seven and a half million dollars.

Hezbollah has imported Iranian fuel for the first time through Syria since October of 2018. The initiative is allegedly aimed at addressing shortages in Lebanon due to its ongoing economic crisis.
