Elden Ring becomes a board game: “Get ready to waste hours in front of this title”

Elden Ring was the best-selling video game of 2022: so far it has reached 16.6 million copies.

After 16.6 million copies sold, now Elden Ring is ready to become a board game. In the last few hours Steamforged Games Ltd announced the launch on Kickstarter of a campaign that aims to transform the video game into one of the most anticipated board games ever. At the moment the information released on the new version of Elden Ring are still few: Steamforged has only published two images. One should be the game logo, while the other shows a miniature of Margit, the Relentless Omen. In the game Margit is one of the first bosses you meet and not exactly one of the easiest to beat.

On the Steamforged website you can find some more information. One of the few mechanics announced involves boss fights which will all be carried out without the roll of the dice. The company has a long track record of turning successful video games into board games. His past works include Dark Souls: The Board Game, Dark Souls: The Card Game, and Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game. Just one of these titles, Dark Souls: The Board Game, has become one of the most funded Kikcstarter campaigns ever: 5 million dollars.
